Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I need help with finishing the definition. I divided curve and selected every fourth point, in which I want to create rectangle.  In the end I used sweep, but rectangles are not perpendicular to curve. Can somebody look into this definition ? Thank you.

Hi Marietta,

Since you are creating rectangles in both the top and bottom curve I don't see the reason for using sweep instead of loft.

Regarding the planes for the rectangles here is what I understand you want to achieve:

hope this is what you wanted,

Hi Nikos,

thanks for help this is just what I wanted to achieve and now it seems easier when looking on this definition. Loft is quicker as I see and using sweep here is pointless. Thank you

I have one more question is it possible to move the point from which starts the rectangle? Now it is in the corner but can it be moved to the middle of the rectangle segment? Should I use move parameter ?

Sure, just create vectors from the center of each rectangle to the insertion point and move the rectangles with these vectors:

Ok I see. This is very helpful and universal, thanks again
