Real world loops ?

Hi all,

I've recently become more interested in loops for iterative modeling. While its fun to play around in rhino/grasshopper with them, Im starting to wonder if there are any examples out there of reasoning for using them on real-world projects? I'd like to begin to apply them directly to professional work if possible, but I've been struggling currently to work out when the ideal time is to use them.
