Range of Series and Distance to attractor

Hi guys,

Would any of you happen to know how to compute an equation for decrease or increase in series with proximity to an attractor point?

Such as the series of points with move component but affected by proximity to point.

Below is a simple diagram, X as the attractor point and Dots as the points to manipulate
