algorithmic modeling for Rhino

People, I've made some experiments with Rabbit trying to simulate some radial shapes of nature like starfishs (or sth like this). So I used the Rotate Axis parameter (RotAx) to make 5 starting points (axiom). However, I think it is the dumb way of doing this, my intention is to create some patterns with curved lines made by branches, also remove intersections curves made by the axioms.

I'd like to know if there's an easier way to make radial l-systems that could grow in radial direction using a single parameter at least.

Thankss!!
