Question:Hexagonal grid based pattern

I've just started using grasshopper and I have a question.

I'd like to make a 3D pattern like below left photo.

and with beginner tutorial, I got hexagonal grid(below right side).

Then, Where should I start?

Does anyone know how to connect dots like below right side photo?
