PT Trim Problems

Having trouble creating panels at boundary conditions of a surface (see attached image).  Geometry was originally a mesh that was rebuilt into a surface.  

Going down a rabit hole of testing and troubleshooting, the error seems to be in the PT trim mod.  It outputs point errors no matter which M option is used, and therefore any panels associated with those points error in conjuction.

Are there any know issues/limitations to the pt trim mod?

Any help would be appreciated...I can provide cleaned up files if that would help.
