Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I am a major noob with GH and Kangaroo but we are using it for uni this semester and I am trying to figure out how to create a bending surface like the one featured in the video https://vimeo.com/23929523

https://vimeo.com/122765760

I have found a post about gridshells and in Daniel's response he put up 3 methods to build a gridshells, one of which is through bending.

My first question is a hex-grid the best type of surface or should I use straight line springs?

Secondly, is it possible to give a weight or strength to the anchors?

What I am trying to do is create a free flowing surface like the BowlSculpt over a set of points in space.

I have attached the script that I am using at the moment from Daniel.

If anyone can shed some light on any of these points that would be great.

Thanks All.

Jaye
