Problems with Diagrid Panels with openings controlled by attractor

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Grasshopper and I tried to create a perforated surface based on a diagrid, with variable openings (apertures) controlled by a point attractor. The definition is based on the fillet diagrid tutorial by digital toolbox, but is slightly modified ..

the problem is, and I'm somewhat stuck there, that I can't figure out how to correctly sort the points I'm comparing the distance from the attractor point to. I always end up with non fitting edges. (see attached picture) The definition works fine without the attractor point, eg. when changing the openings all together with a slider ...

I attached the definition and the sample file with a test surface and attractor point .. It would be awesome if somebody could help me out here ..
