algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Greetings,
As with most GH problems this is a bit difficult to explain with words so I've attached a couple files to demonstrate.
I have a lot of coplanar surfaces pairs with normals in the same direction. I need to convert their vertices into a list of points with a consistent direction (i.e. clockwise/counterclockwise).
If the surfaces are exploded with Brep Components, some vertex lists are out of order [this part I couldn't replicate in the simple attached example, I'll try to replicate and post later]. This means that if you connect the vertices in the order listed you won't recreate the boundary. The line segments cross through the face connecting diagonal vertices.
If I convert the surfaces to curves first, this eliminates the above problem but creates a new one. [seen in attached example] Despite having normals in the same directions the boundary curves have different directions. This seems like rather bizarre behavior.
