you can find a perpendicular line from a point to a curve using "closest point on a curve" = Crv CP (use the points from one curve to another curve) then create the line between points.

 

For points on curve use divide curve or a random component to generate randoms values from 0 to 1 and then evaluate the curve on those values (use reparametrize option on curve first)
