possible error with line charges

Hi,

I've been having a look at what line charges do and how they differ from point charges. I made a simple algorythm with a line charge between 2 points in Rhino and 2 point charge also located on the points. Using a circle to surround the 2 point I had a look at the field line from both type of charges and found them to be almost the same unless the 2 points are in a verticle line.

If the field lines are the same for most orientations of the points I think they should be the same for a verticle line.
