Polylines not in the right order

Hi to all
need help in:
1.Understanding why the joint polylines (in the definition I sent) aren't in order(line1 then     line2 then line3 then....line5)
2.when I change the UV sliders I can't figure out the pattern of the resulting order
How can I order the polylines(one after the other also for open srfs 4 or more edges)?
