patterning on surface using relative item... offsetting not working

Hello, I m currently learning how to use grasshopper, watching this tutorial on tree data, and finding that the relative item component is different to the one on the video, have A and B instead of just T input, what the difference for that?

Also, trying to produce pattern with offset, but it is not offsetting...need help for that...

Thank You!

Hi.

You just have a single data tree, so, you don't have to use "Relative Items". Instead, "Relative Item" is enough.

And this method could produce some unwanted duplicated lines, so you can get rid of them if you want.

thank you thank you! now i get it...

Sorry to interupt again, what do i add to the list item if i want to creates surface to it, so it not just bunch of lines? I tried boundary surface and and edge surfaces and it didn't work. On the video tutorial, plane surface was added to the end of line, i tried that as well and didn't work...

Here we have another example using "Boundary Surfaces" & "Relative Items".
