Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear All,

I found this script online that allows me to create diamondshapes along a surface. I want to further develop this script. Unfortunately, I am having difficulty trying to make the points along the base denser, and along the top further apart. Attached is an image of the effect I am hoping to generate.

Anybody have good suggestions as to how i can approach this?

Thanks!!!!

Cheers,

Krissy x

If you're working with a point grid derived from a vertically oriented surface, the logic is to scale the Z value of each row of points gradually without exceeding the height of the surface.  See the attach definition.  You can adjust the gradient by adjusting the graph mapper.  Hope this helps.
