algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all, I'm trying to create a perimeter block. I've extruded a rectangular block and performed a Boolean difference on an orthogonal rectangle, but as soon as I try to make a non-orthogonal quadrilateral, the process fails. There's an obvious warning in the components but I can't figure out what the problem actually is. Anyone see what the issue is? Thanks guys.

CreateaBlockTest_re.gh, 22 KB Thanks Hyungsoo! I came to the same conclusion (or roughly similar) a few min ago (see attached). The first one was a mess. The reason for some of the extra components is that I want to be able to separate the block into four parts (or any given number) with spaces them. In the .3dm I have illustrated in Rhino what I mean. Obviously, I wasn't successful. Any thoughts?
I appreciate your help, it's really going a long way.
