Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello!,
Next year I want to take an advanced training on grasshopper and fabrication of large scale models (to be able to construct a modular pavilion). Can anyone recommend a good upcoming workshop, training, course, program ?
Any suggestion will be appreciated
Thanks!

Just solve other people's problems here, on this forum. Delve into it. Formal classes will only ever always render you utterly proud to remain completely stupid. If you don't learn to code in at least Python, to liberate yourself from arcane Grasshopper data trees, then you are a five instead of six figure employee. I'm talking USD not kilograms of communist money.

Yes im totally agree with that. that formal classes are not always the best and are worthless most of the time. But im only 26, Im young, and I have the opportunitty so I will take it :) So you recommend Phyton instead? I was wondering that, because ive been using grasshopper since quite long an seems that ist not enough. Thanks for your reply !

Nik would you recommend houdini or processing as the next step from gh? if so what resources would you recommend?

Hi Natalia,

I've written a short, basic introduction to Grasshopper text. It should come out around March of this year, published by Industrial Press. The first half is a set of tutorials of increasing complexity, with explanations of all of the components used. The second half is a reference guide. I'll try to publicize it more broadly when it comes out.
