Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey everyone,

I'm having some trouble getting my facade to work like I want it to. I'll try not to over-explain and I'm sure someone has done something similar. I want to have a monolithic facade that degrades to reveal a pipe diagrid structure that further degrades to contain glazing. The thickness of the facade would decrease in relation to an attractor until it reaches a certain thickness and then is replaced by glass (the replacing with glass doesn't have to happen in GH, just giving you the idea of what it would do).

I've gotten something that looks kind of like what I want but there are some issues. I've attached the .gh if it helps to see what I've done. The issue is that when I use the system on a curved surface the offset of the panels results in a surface that is not continuous. I'd like it to be a continuous surface, which I think means not using the panels that are given to me by the diamond grid.

I've attached some images and a sketch to try to get across what I'm going for. Any ideas on what I can try? Or some resources to look at?

This looks very interesting! Does it work now?

If yes, it would be great to post the definition!
