Packing within curves

Hello everyone,

     I was wondering if anyone has any definitions for packing circles within curves. I have some areas i would like to fill with circles. and if possible, is there any definitions going around for packing with circles that get smaller as they reach the enclosing lines? Any help is appreciates.
