Packing of ellipses within a closed curve
Dear all,
I'm trying to find a script that can pack ellipses of a fixed dimension into a closed curve.
The circlepacking scripts that are available on this forum achieve exactly what I'm after for circles, but I'm not sure how that could be translated to ellipses.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?

If your ellipses are all oriented the same way, find the transformation to a circle, apply this transformation to the boundary curve, pack the transformed boundary with circles, apply the inverse transformation to the packed circles:
