Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello everybody,
I have a problem with an orthogonal project (monge): I have to do an orthogonal project of n surfaces on a plane, I tried to do that with "project" and "project Along", but with these commands it is projected also what should be hidden. Is there an other comand or plug in that I can use?

Thank's so much!

There is "Mesh Outline", which will just project the outline of all the shapes, like a shadow. It should do the conversion to mesh from surfaces automatically, but you can mesh it using a node as well and then have more control over the detail.

If you join the mesh, you get one outline for everything.

thanks for the answer, I had already done this process with the shadow command. I try to explain the problem:
I have given as input a 3D model (SHP) of land, this model is divided into mesh (with the type: water layer, olive trees etc ...). If I unite everything I lose this distinction. I have to project these mesh so that will keep me this distinction.
I'm interested in studying the projection divided by categories.

Also you can assign to the mesh type for TAG filter them grasshopper?

Thanks so much

Hm, you can merge and divide meshes as you please and then use project or mesh outline on them. Not really sure what the problem is. How is the mesh divided? There are some plugins for Grasshopper where you can access the object properties of geometry referenced from Rhino, like Human or MetaHopper.

You'll have to attach the Rhino&GH file, otherwise we won't know what the issue is.

I use Heron to import shape files.
After I want to project the mesh (shape) on the terrain (topo), with the new terrain that I got I have to create for ourselves an orthogonal projection.
After I go to study the projection. I divide into a grid and I go to see each item as it is made.

I have many shapefiles in the defined file (buildings, trees, beach etc ...)

Thanks
