algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Still hammering away over here, decided to start from scratch with a new definition.
I've created a structural ribbed grid that will allow me to prototype some forms on a lasercutter quickly to glue together. Basically 8 sections are taken in both the x and y axis, and i've removed some small tabs where they connect.
I was hoping to create an additional definition that would align these across a flat surface, so that I could simply bring the linework into Illustrator for export to our lasercutter at school. For some reason I cannot solve the issue of aligning these across the square surface. Can anyone out there offer some advice as to how this is done?
Two photos attached; in the Rhino picture the large red organic shape is the test form. The ribbed sections are showing up, they are just not spreading across the surface as I was hoping (one axis' sections across each square surface).
