Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everyone!

I have simulated a flocking behaviour using Quelea. I have set a view area (based on distance and view angle) for my agents so when a neighboor is inside this area the agent should steer to have a "clear view". The problem is that when I stop the timer some neighboors are inside the view field of an agent.  I have tried to continue using Galapagos to fix that problem. I need to rotate the view vector so that the view field is clear of neighboors. I guess that the genome is the rotation angle of the view vector but I am realy confused with the fitness number. I don't know how to express the "rotate view vector so no one is inside the view field" procedure.Any ideas?

thanx in advance

Here is a small example of what I am trying to do. I want to rotate the vector so no point is inside it's view field. If it rotates once away from the first point maybe an other point gets inside it's view field. That's what I am trying to avoid. I don't know if I am doing right or how to continue. Any help appreciated!
