Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Opening the latest version of Grasshopper I continue to receive this error note.

I have an educational version of rhino - rhino4 SR9

I installed grasshopper several times now. I have uninstalled and re-installed successfully and I still receive this error note.

"Note that you need the most recent Microsoft Runtimes to be able to load Grasshopper in Rhino4. You can download the latest runtimes from the Microsoft Website, and be sure to get the 32-bit ones (vcredist_x86.EXE)."
I have just updated that, and uninstalled and then reinstalled and still the same error message popped up.

do you have any grasshopper plug-ins installed?

I have unistalled the grasshopper files of my control panel - program list. However I still see when i look in my pluginManager on Rhino there seems to be a utility file that is unloaded but still is sitting inside the manager. However the error note, says it recognises a root file missing.
i got it to work. All sorted. Thanks. It was the lastest runtime - vcredist_x86.EXE you were right. I had downloaded the x64 instead because I am running a 64bit operating system. Thank you for your help.

yea you need 32 because rhino 4 is only 32 not 64.
