Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

Consider I have saved a definition with parameters that are requiring a lot of calculation.

Is there a way to open this definition without starting any calculation. So the definition opens quickly and I can change the parameters that was making the calculation too heavy.

Also, when I open a definition the preview mode is saved with the definition.
Is there a way to bypass the stored preview mode and have control of it before the opening of the definition ?
It would then be possible to avoid drawing something heavy when not needed.

Thanks !

Click on the lock icon (it should say disable/enable solver) before opening the definition.

I don't think there is a way to save the calculations inside the definition. You can bake the geometry or save lists of numbers/text to a text file using the panel component, but you'll have to modify the definition to read this data again.

To not draw something heavy, just disable the preview of the component. Or you mean that when it becomes heavy it stops drawing automatically?
