algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I have a file with several old components (of all sorts & types) - mostly read-file & function components. I had done work on the grasshopper file a couple years ago (don't recall which version I would have been using at that time) and now when I re-open the file I have several Red and Orange highlighted components (see image). It doesn't make sense to me that I would have to go & replace each and every component with the new version just to make the solution... is that a reasonable assumption?
However, I did also updated to Rhino 5.0 and upgraded to GHP 0.9.0075 since the file was created & last used. Could this be the issue?
Any advice is appreciated!

Legacy components will still be operational, you don't have to replace them, we just recommend you do. Note that many replacements can be performed automatically via the Solution->Upgrade Components menu.
There have been some functional changes over the past few years that had the potential to break pre-existing files. Without seeing which components are red in your file and what the errors there are, nobody will be able to comment any further.
