Offset on rotating surface

Hi,

I have a panel consisting of individual rotating blocks. What I want to do is create depth to these blocks by offsetting inside the culled lines (which will then be extruded later on). When I attempted to do this, it worked fairly well on most of the blocks. However, there are some which didn't work as well and offsetted outside the culled lines instead. I'm guessing this is because of the plane and how its been rotated. My question is, how do I offset inside all the blocks?

Test curve planarity and using individual curve plane would help. Best.
