offset geometries

Hi Guys,

 

I have been trying to offset polygons in grasshopper with zero luck. Attached, you will find a series of shapes that I want to offset using grasshopper.  The idea is that I could offset the geometry inwards so that as the geometry gets smaller, the offset distance also decreases.

 

Any starting points or suggestions?  I know how to offset surfaces, but actual volumetric geometries are not working!

I had to rebuild one of your reference shapes.  Use the 3dm attached.
