NEW MEMBERS vs SPAMMERS

I apologies if you are seeking membership with the Grasshopper Forums and have been declined in recent days. Please try again but make sure you include sensible information about yourself. The more you provide the easier it is for me and others to distinguish you as a valued member.

This evening alone I have had 40 new membership applications only 1 of which I have accepted. The majority of those were easily identifiable as spammers. There were about 5 that could go either way, but I erred on the side of caution and declined them as we are being inundated with a very persistent group of spammers as of late.

New members please try again..... spammers you can just go and boil your circuit boards in a vat of Dhaka's finest curry

Hi David and other's. I was in another forum (cnczone) and a user was having trouble with getting on the forum here with regards to the ning.

His issue was he uses rhino 4 and cant load the new grasshopper with the ning generation. He wanted someone to contact this forum to ask for help for him. I replied to him with "load rhino 5 and the new grasshopper to generate the ning, which wont interfere with his rhino 4 install.

After reading this thread though, I deleted that reply in the other forum and sent him a pm stating that he could give me his email and I would pass it along to david or someone here to help him. Didnt want to help the "spammers".

Anyway, is there another way for me to handle it? He said he couldnt find any way to contact this forums admin for help. He says he's a user but I have no way to verify that.

If you only have Rhino4 or you cannot for some reason get a recent enough Rhino5 that will run the latest version of Grasshopper, you can contact me by email. It will take a while to get signed up this way, but hopefully that's a problem that will get less severe over time as fewer and fewer new users will be on Rhino4.
