n-pod-doublecone-touching-column-set

hi folks,
would be great if someone could help-i just started using gh-
i want to build an n-pod-doubleconecolumn-set where the columns are not overlapping, but touching (in one point/line)
so far i build the parametric-basics and now it´s getting to the tough part where i struggle at the moment...
(my thoughts: find projected intersectionpt on verticalcenter axis, make normal to column axis, find closest point on pipe, and make dist of these pts minimum where the allowed movement rail could just be the planerotation...or so?)
next enhancement should be-finding an equal-n-sidecrosssection, where the colums touch at plane surfaces.
