algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all !

i will use this thread to put short questions that require a simple answer.

i will check on this forum , on google and the Grasshopper primer before posting.
if you have the time, please do answer, i really appreciate the input!

here we go:

1. can i pick the widgets that load at startup?

2. on the Random Component, what does the "seed of random engine" input value refer to?

sorry, meant GRAPH Mapper...

Ah, then no, because there is no guaranteed unique mapping from Y onto X. Only linear can be mapped this way, but beziers, gaussians, sines etc. etc. all might have multiple x's that generate the same y.

Hi Andrei,

did you mean in the Graph Mapper? If yes, then that's called the inverse function and is not automatically derivable from the function itself in general. For some operations it is easy, though. At the moment the graph mapper does not support it.
