metabolism in grasshopper

hi there,

I know its a big question and there is like 1000 ways to do it but I would be happy if someone will guide me generally - how to start it. any idea - even the smallest one will help

the idea is to make a shaft surrounding by apartment that can change their direction (not have to be in a grid) according to some attractor point that I choose.

there r two images to demonstrate the idea more or less and also an image of my grasshopper model. (the central building is the one that I wanted to do it to).
