algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm doing a solar radiation analysis on a voronoi pattern. When Ecotect analysis the surface it wants a mesh, but it when comes back to GH it's not trimmed down to the voronoi shape. Any ideas on how to get the mesh trimmed down?

Hi David,

This example is a bit different than your previous one, so the same definition can not be used.

From the logical point of view this new solution should work (I used the curved surface to generate voronoi on it, you can use the flat one, it does not matter):

But I am not satisfied with the final result.
For some reason the voronoi cell with the largest number of mesh faces "gets" the larger insolation. I do not know why is that. As the Ecotect evaluates the insolation on the center points of those faces only, excluding the area of the faces.

You need to post this question at the Geco group.
