Mesh stretched between spiraling lines

Hello,

I am here to ask for help again... I have made a system that is inspired by Achim Menges' hygroskin : it uses wood that reacts to humidity to warp and open and close windows, i have modeled 2 pieces of wood that spiral up and i want a piece of fabric to be stretched between both of the wooden planks to do the opposite effect : open when not warped, close when warped (the system is very irrealistic but being realistic is not the goal of this semester for us... :) )

So in the attached gh file, I set points from the two planks as anchor points, made a mesh between the two, but when i go to warp the planks, the mesh disappears... maybe i need to make a mesh in the stretched fabric position and come and "loosen" it after ? Maybe the way the points are generated is problematic (i was just trying to have a regular arrangement of points...)?

Any help, tips, pointers are welcome !
