Material Properties and Kangaroo

I posted this question about a year ago and I was curious if anyone has any ideas about achieving this in grasshopper/ kangaroo.

I am looking to define a curve with material properties where it cannot pass through itself. Has anyone experimented with this? I know Martan Nettlebladt has similar experiments with bending and the like but I have noticed he still has the geometry to pass through itself.

Any thoughts?
