mapping rectangular grid to curved surface without warping

Hi guys,

I am trying to create a definition that puts solar PV panels on different roof surfaces. I have been able to create the panels using grids that are unique to each individual surface. However, I am looking for a way to project a grid onto difference surfaces so that they all have the same grid pattern (because solar panels would be the same size). I am having particular difficulty mapping/projecting a grid to a curved or tilted surface without it warping. Could anyone provide me with some guidance? I've taken a beginner grasshopper course, but I a definitely a novice. Much thanks!
