Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to loft between two surfaces as show in the accompanying files. My problem is the lofting follows a certain order. I tried rotating the faces, re-ordering the vertices, mirroring, flipping, etc.

Still, I cannot get rid of the twisting that is created by the two planes. Basically, I wish to have the two faces loft in a tapered fashion between each other.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Danny,

I just tried the align function and played around with the different options within it, but the loft still gets twisted...

That's really odd!

Loft options > Align Sections works for one but not the other.

Anyway, I've sorted the vertices into the same order and rebuilt the curve so that it works now.

Aha!  Thanks Danny.

Hello,

I face a similar problem.

I want to shear one face of a box, I decompose it & recompose it by its vertices (using the def. above). When I loft the 2 Srfs the result is sometimes twisted, depending on the shear angle.

Any idea how to prevent this from happening?

Is there maybe a simper way to shear only one face ?

Thanks
