loft component question

Hello,

I am a Mac user and used dowloaded the rhino version and have been doing a few exercised on Grasshopper. Unfortunately, the loft component does not seem to work. I have made sure that I am on shade mode. 

I have created two simple curves in rhino, reference the curves on grasshopper and then the loft component, however, without success. I would very much appreciate any help!!!
