There is a Rhino educational licence, but no Rhino educational version. If your Rhino refuses to load GH, then it's either because you have an old version, or because Rhino has expired (which it shouldn't, unless it's a trial version).

If the installer for GH doesn't run, then it's a known bug in the latest Rhino version. It can be fixed by either one of the following actions:

• Go into Windows Control Panel and 'repair' the Rhino5 installation.
• Use the 'Open With...' option in the Windows explorer file menu for the *.rhi file and select the rhiexec.exe application (which should be sitting next to rhino.exe)
• Rename the *.rhi to *.zip, extract all files to a folder somewhere and drag+drop GrasshopperPlugin.rhp into the Rhino window.
