Karamba-solid wooden beam cross section

Hi, I'm trying to calculate a wooden structure design made from solid wooden beams.
I'm a beginner in Karamba, I study the manual but i have some difficulties.

1. cross section. there is no option for solid beam, only box, i understan box for steal structures, but what about wood?
2. is there any posibility to select a mesh to create beam? I have designed my model in grasshopper and it seams difficult to redesign beam from lines (line to beam component)
