Kangaroo less tense membrane

Hi there, 

I have the following kangaroo definition. I would like the membrane to be less "tense", I want a bit more volume inside the geometry. I have attached a sketch which shows exactly what I mean. If someone can help me alter the form of the membrane that would be great.
