Joining Polygons at edges

Hi!

I am beginner in GH usage. For my project, I am trying to join different polygons at their edges i.e., say there are some randomly placed polygons within a rectangle, I want to say, if two polygons are within x distance, then join those two polygons at that edges that are nearer, and form a combined shape.
