algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I am making a model to be exported for 3D printing

i have sent the file off only to be told that it cant be printed as some of the segments arent actually joined (even though they appear extremely close, they are still slightly separated)

i have tried using the 'join' node in a hope that it will join all of the sides but this doesn't seem to be working

do you know if there is anyway that i could do this?

cheers

Matt

It looks like you could fix the problem by slightly scaling down your bounding box, so the transformed geometries overlap a bit

I actually tried exporting the geometry and scalling the faces using 3DS max.. so i guess i had the right idea :P

this method worked so much better

thankyou so much

Or construct you geometries in a way they can join correctly (see attached).

i.e. remove faces which will touch, and make small faces instead of line edges.
