Isolate Cells in a Hexgrid

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out, 

I'm trying to isolate specific cells in a hexgrid using attractor points so that I can used them to anchor points in a kangaroo model, 

I was thinking it could work if I  cross reference the 3 closest points to my attactor point with the vector points from my cells. But now that I've located the points I don't know how to bring the information back together to rebuild into my boundary?
