Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody!I'm very new to grasshopper and image sampler have been my favorite. I've been watching tutorials and tried them myself and i've been looking in using it in one of my current projects, however, i totally understand that the radii of the perforations are dependent on the brightness of the pixels in the image, but is it possible to make the perforations limited to like 20 different kinds only of exact dimensions like 25mm, 50mm, 100mm etc..MAD architects designed this building in China, the Sinosteel International Plaza. I'm not sure if it was achived using image sampler, point attractor etc..but according to its design description, the openings were limited to 5 types only (which is by the way what i'm asking how!) and i assume it is of exact dimensions. Seeing all this complicated tutorials i know its possible but how! I know this could be very basic but not to me since i don't know how.help! =')

I see it more a matter of attractor points (MAD project), look for this; and yes, it it possible to make the perforations limited to like 20 different kinds, try this:

Thanks!Ive figured it out!

Hi

Do you think you could post your grasshopper file with the figured out solution? :)

Same here.

I would like to see how you solved the problem.

Thanks in advance.

You can select anything from a list using a List Item component.

for example If I have a list of 6 numbers then all I have to do is generate Consecutive Domains to find the bands where my numbers will fall and remap them to the Brightness Values. Once the domain is identified then this relates to the Original List using List Item.
