Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Users,

I have a quick questions about efficiency relative to the runtime speed of my Grasshopper file.

If I am need to reference rhino geometry (meshes and points primarily), does it make a difference if the geometry is internalized into a component compared to a loaded geometry using the 'Import 3DM' component? I want to avoid linking geometry from the rhino file that is in use since the scripts that I am working on will be given out for others to use.

I am not too concerned with how long the GH file takes to load initially, but I am worried about the refresh rate while the file is in use. I hope this helps to situate the problem. If any additional information is needed, please let me know.

Thank you all for the help and support!

Kind Regards,

Jake

Once the geometry has been loaded, there is no difference in performance.

Thank you for clarifying. I will go with internalized geometry in that case. It will be much easier.
