Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

First of all, I love grasshopper. And thank you very much to McNeel and developers for making this happen.

I have a suggestion for the current Image Sampler. It is although, really very good with its functionality, but it would be great to have an input for the image location, resolution, Tiling style, Filter Channel type.

Currently it is controlled by Image Sampler Settings Dialogue which every time requires manual parameter updates. Also, if a same image has to be sampled for multiple set of points with multiple channel type, then there will be a lot of such instances of image sampler will be required. And, when an image x and y domain is variable then it is required to be setup manually.

Thank you so much.

Hi Jeet,

I concur. There is a small problem with sampling an image with different settings, but it's a programmatic issue.

I'm not sure yet but I think that Bitmaps will become a native data type in Grasshopper 2.0, and with that addition a lot of additional tools can fairly easily be made, including all the stuff you mentioned.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I will be looking forward for Grasshopper 2.0. Until then, I am happy with current features.
Good luck with a new version.
