I want to "bend" a line back on itself

I am drawing a sequence of consecutive lines starting at 0. I want to be able to manipulate the length and "bend" for each segment independently. The script aint pretty but I have managed to build something that almost does want I want. There is one "bend" that I cant bend to my will. The one in the green circle. I would like to bend this "back on it self". Note that it currently only rotates around the Y axis. I have tried a number of the Plane components but not managed to get them to do what I want.

Any suggestions on how I could achieve this?
