How to use .rhi file to install .gha

I have a GH component which consists of a .gha file and an external .dll file.

I would like to install these using a .rhi file. I create a .zip file with the .gha and .dll file, and rename it FolderName.rhi. However, when running the .rhi file, I get this: 

I have been reading this thread but there doesn't seem to be any newer information about this. What can I do?

If you can't find the answer on the Rhino Installer Engine page, you should probably ask on discourse.

The first thing they'll want to know is which Rhino Service Release you're running, so you may as well post that right away.

You must have a .rhp file in the .rhi

I was hoping that that would've been fixed seeing as it was "in the works" back in 2014 (2012?). Shame if that's not the case.
