Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am using anemone and have a looping set of operations that works well... however I am trying to add some complexity and have run into a road block. I wrote a little series of operations that analyze a curve for any self intersection and then snip that intersection out of the curve, reforming it into a new curve that does not contain the portion that overlapped itself.

This works well when I test it on a curve with an overlap, however there are some times where the curve I have does not overlap at all... when this happens the whole thing just stops running because it is trying to analyze the intersections of a curve but there are not any.

Is there a way to do a kind of if/ then statement? Look for intersections... if there are none then just skip ahead?
