How to make geometry follow the direction along line/vector?

Hello,

I am still a beginner at grasshopper and just starting to get a hang of it. I feel that this is quite easy to achieve, but I just can't make the created extrusion to match the direction of the vector, I was trying to use the rotation components where direction of vector is asked, but it gives a bizarre result. This is the script snippet I made so far. How can I make the created extrusion follow the direction of vector? I'm adding the script as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Rotation is one way, just make sure your initial vector is pointing along the current direction of the shape (ie. up in your case). However you do not get control over the rotation of the object around the target vector. You'll either need an additional transform, or you can use the Orient transform instead. Both solution are attached.

Thank You David. The Orient option worked best
